Greenlight Level Up™ is a first-of-its-kind financial literacy game built for kids and teens, combining best-in-class curriculum with the game mechanics they already love — like challenges, rewards, and leveling up — to build money confidence for life. Developed with financial education experts and exceeding national K-12 standards, Level Up empowers kids with real-world money skills and lets them put those lessons into action through the Greenlight app’s suite of financial tools.As the senior brand & motion designer, I helped bring this product to life by working alongside my director of education and art director on visual storytelling across motion, illustration, and gameplay-focused creative elements. From launch videos to in-app animations and campaign assets, I worked cross-functionally with product, design, and marketing to ensure the game’s playful, educational spirit came through in every visual touchpoint — elevating engagement, celebrating rewards, and making learning feel fun, accessible, and genuinely delightful!

We partnered with Tropical Smoothie Cafe to offer a limited-time reward that encouraged kids to continue playing and learning. Players who completed a specific number of financial literacy challenges could unlock a free smoothie, transforming their progress into something fun and tangible. To bring this partnership to life, I helped adapt the Level Up design language to fit this special collaboration, merging the game's playful, illustrated style with Tropical Smoothie's bright, energetic brand.
I created custom visual elements, ranging from animated smoothie-themed in-app notifications to email assets, that were cohesive with the Level Up universe while also celebrating the joy of earning a real-world reward. The result was a seamless, branded experience that enhanced engagement and demonstrated how good money habits can lead to exciting, kid-friendly rewards.
